Last week our class participated in the Andy Gibbon's Hurling Tournament, a tournament which has been running for 15 years now. We had great fun and really enjoyed a lovely sunny day up in Stepaside where we played against lots of other Third Class children from different schools. One of our teams qualified in their group for their final which was played in Naomh Olaf's GAA Club on Wednesday. They finished runners-up after a very narrow 1-0 defeat. Congratulations to all the boys and girls in the class! The school are really proud of you! Thanks to Naomh Olaf's GAA Club for organising the tournament.
3rd Class
Have a look at some of the things we have been creating in Third Class recently! We worked in groups to research the Egyptians on the iPads. We then created projects and presented them to the class. We explored colour-mixing in Art, with a focus on the primary and secondary colours and tinting. We designed very detailed and creative pictures for the Comórtas Ealaíne as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge and, to celebrate World Book Day, we drew wonderful images of us reading books that we enjoy. Keep an eye out for much more over the coming weeks!
Welcome to 2nd Class
Here you will find all of our educational adventures into the Irish Primary School Curriculum.
The Water Cycle
Over the past few weeks second class have been covering the theme of 'Water' in different subjects. We have been paying particular attention to the water cycle in the Social, Environmental and Scientific Education (SESE) curriculum. We used our new interactive board to draw the cycle.

Water Proof Materials
Second Class tested different materials on their ability to resist water. We used our problem solving skills to design and create our very own boats and put them to the test. They were placed in water and our keen-eyed second class scientists observed whether they sank or floated.
