Donation of a Defribrillator
A defibrillator has kindly been donated to the school by the Mark Heffernan Trust. It is situated at the school entrance and may be used by the community in general. Let's hope it will never have to be used.
The proceeds from the Wear Your Own Clothes Day on 31st May will be donated to the Mark Heffernan Trust, which funds research into Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) and donates defibrillators to schools and sports clubs.

European Cup Medallist!

Ms. Emer Lucey (Third Class teacher) was in Belgium recently with her hockey club, Railway Union, representing Ireland in the European Club Hockey Championship.
They performed with distinction, finishing in third place and bringing home the bronze medal. The children were very excited when Ms. Lucey brought in the medal - it was the biggest medal they had ever seen!
