Junior Infants (Ms.O'Rourke)
Trip to Dublin Zoo
Have a look at some of the animals spotted by junior infants during our trip to the zoo!
This month in Aistear, we are learning about the airport! The children have been having a lot of fun flying to different destinations, constructing aeroplanes and making passports, packing lists and boarding passes!
Junior infants learned all about different minibeasts. The boys and girls made their favourite minibeast before finding the perfect habitat for their minibeast to live.
As part of Aistear, the children used recycled materials to make an emergency service vehicle. These are some of our finished pieces!
The Fire Station
Our new Aistear topic is 'The Fire Station'. We are learning all about fire safety, fire equipment and firefighters.
This month our Aistear area turned into ''The Puppet Theatre". Have a look at what we got up to!
Our Trip to Fernhill
This month, we have been learning all about the types of animals and plants we can see during spring.
In art, we explored different types of flowers that we can see in spring time and we drew daffodils from observation.
In science, we have been learning about different types of plants and what plants need to grow.
In geography, we have been learning about the seasons and signs of spring. We took a trip to Fernhill to complete a scavenger hunt to see what signs of spring we could find.
We had great fun exploring our locality in the sunshine!
We had a busy month in December in Santa's Workshop. The children stepped into the role of Santa's elves and planned, designed, made and wrapped presents to send to all the children on 'The Good List'!
