The Airport

This month our Aistear area was the airport. The children went into role as pilots and passengers. They went on lots of adventures!

Transport

We are learning about transport. We read stories about transport and did lots of different activities! Each of the children created their own model of a vehicle. It was lots of fun!

Learn to grow

This year the boys and girls in Junior Infants participated in the 'Learn to Grow' programme. They grew radishes, salad leaves and peas!


Andy Goldsworthy

This week we created art inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy. The children collected items during a nature hunt at home including flowers, grass, flowers and rocks. They used these items to create pictures working in groups. You can see some of their beautiful work here!

Africa

We are learning about Africa this month. So far, we have learned about animals that can be found in Kenya. We also learned a song from Ghana called 'Che Che Koolay'.

Printing

In art, we created vegetable patch prints. We printed using paint and lots of different types of vegetables including celery, potatoes and carrots.
