New Look Library!
A huge thank you to our wonderful Parents' Association who recently funded new shelving to update our school library. The work was completed over the June midterm and we have moved all our books into their new home.
The additional 1,300 euro worth of books from our Book Fair before Easter have been added to the wonderful selection of books available for the pupils. Happy reading everyone!

Safety Week 2015
We held Safety Week from June 8th-12th in St. Mary's N.S. As well lots of activities in the classrooms we had visitors to talk to us about bike, road and water safety. On Thursday 11th June pupils were given the opportunity to participate in a bike rodeo which taught them about many aspects of bike safety and even included an obstacle course! We were delighted to see so many bicycles at school on the day especially as we work towards our 'Green Flag' for travel.

Forty children set off on Wednesday 27th May to participate in the sprint and relay track events. All pupils competed with valour. Many of our relay teams qualified from their heats into their age-group finals.
Well done to all our athletes and many thanks to the teachers who prepared them for all the events.

Travel Flag Action Day!
Our Green School Committee organised our Travel Action Day which was held on Tuesday 12th May 2015 as part of the National Walk to School Week. Karen Moore from An Taisce joined us on this day and we welcomed students with balloons, stickers and a healthy piece of fruit for ldbreakfast as they arrived into school. Prizes were given to the class who had made the most effort to travel to school using a "green" travel method. This week 5th Class won the Golden Boot Trophy award! Well done 5th Class!
